The Elemure of Emure-Ile Kingdom, Oba Bankole Adeyefa II, has congratulated the Government and people of Ondo State on the celebration of the state’s 50th anniversary, describing the Golden Jubilee as a milestone of progress, resilience and shared promise.
In a goodwill message issued and signed by the Director of Media and Publicity, Damilola Oyinlade, to mark the anniversary, the monarch said the jubilee offers an opportunity for reflection and thanksgiving for the vision and unity that have sustained the state since its creation.
Oba Adeyefa noted that over the past five decades, Ondo State has produced leaders, scholars and professionals who have made notable contributions to national development while upholding values of integrity, diligence and excellence.
He commended the resilience of the people of the state and acknowledged achievements recorded across key sectors, including education, culture and human capital development, which he described as enduring sources of pride for Ondo indigenes at home and in the diaspora.
The traditional ruler also lauded the Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa, for what he called purposeful leadership and commitment to good governance, peace and continuity.
According to him, the governor’s efforts towards stability and sustainable development are commendable, adding that prayers were being offered for wisdom and strength as the administration works to advance the state’s development agenda.
As Ondo State marks its Golden Jubilee, the monarch called for renewed unity and collective commitment to accelerated development, peace and prosperity for all citizens.
