Governor Aiyedatiwa Appoints Famola as Special Assistant on Forestry

Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has appointed Hon. Fambegbe Olakunle Famola as Special Assistant to the Governor on Forestry (Central).

Famola’s appointment forms part of the administration’s efforts to strengthen governance and deepen engagement with young professionals and stakeholders across different sectors of the state.

An entrepreneur, strategist and development advocate, Famola has been involved in business development, strategic partnerships, youth empowerment and community-oriented initiatives.
His appointment to oversee responsibilities around Forestry (Central) is expected to provide an opportunity for him to contribute to the development and effective management of the state’s forestry resources, while supporting initiatives that can create economic opportunities and sustainable livelihoods for residents.

The forestry sector remains an important component of Ondo State’s natural resource base, with opportunities spanning sustainable forest management, timber and non-timber forest products, value addition, investment and employment generation.

Famola is expected to bring his experience in innovative and strategic thinking, business development and stakeholder engagement to his new responsibility, with a focus on supporting the administration’s development agenda.

Reacting to his appointment, Famola expressed appreciation to Governor Aiyedatiwa for the confidence reposed in him and the opportunity to serve the people of Ondo State.

He said ”I am deeply grateful to His Excellency, the Governor, for the confidence and opportunity to serve. I do not take this responsibility for granted. I am ready to learn, work and contribute meaningfully to the development of Ondo State in order to achieve desired result and to the success of the administration.”

He further described the appointment as a responsibility to serve rather than merely a position, stressing the need to translate opportunities into tangible impact for the people.

“For me, this is about service, responsibility and delivering value. I believe every opportunity to serve comes with an obligation to make a positive difference. I am committed to contributing my quota to the administration and to the people of Ondo State.”

Famola also appreciated his supporters, friends, mentors and well-wishers who have encouraged him throughout his political and public-service journey.

His appointment adds another chapter to his growing involvement in public affairs in Ondo State, following his participation in youth development, empowerment and community-focused initiatives.

As he assumes his new responsibility, attention will be on how the new Special Assistant translates his experience and ideas into practical contributions to the forestry sector and the broader development agenda of the Aiyedatiwa administration.

The appointment marks a new responsibility for Famola and an opportunity to contribute directly to the development of Ondo State.
