Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has vowed that Tehran will not surrender to pressure from US President Donald Trump, declaring that the Iranian people would “never bow” to American demands.
Speaking at the 81st United Nations General Assembly on September 23, Pezeshkian said Iran remained open to dialogue and negotiations but would not accept what he described as the language of force.
“Trump must know that the resistance of the Iranian people will only increase in the face of sanctions, increased pressure and increased bullying. We will never bow our heads or bend the knee,” Pezeshkian said.
He added that Iran was ready for diplomacy but would not surrender under pressure.
“Iran must be understood by Mr. Trump and those who seek to bully us: We are ready for dialogue and diplomacy and negotiations, without accepting the language of force,” he said.
