The controversy began when Ms Jorji posted a video alleging that popular Nigerian dancer and entertainer Poco Lee attempted to sxxu@lly assault her and her girlfriend during an encounter in Dallas, Texas, two years prior.
Following her video, she faced a wave of online backlash and victim-blaming, with some commenters attempting to invalidate her experience because of her involvement in the adult entertainment industry.
Ms Jorji claimed that she approached Poco Lee for career advice and to play her music. She alleged that he made unwanted physical advances toward her and her girlfriend, and attempted to pull her girlfriend into a room when they tried to leave.
In response to her claims, critics flooded her comment sections, attempting to use her status as a sxx worker to diminish her story and question her credibility.
Refusing to be shamed, Ms Jorji released a follow-up video to directly confront the online abuse. She argued that victim-blaming based on profession is entirely unjust, noting that sxxual violence happens across all walks of life and that no occupation justifies abuse.
