A Nigerian woman has generated considerable reactions online after sharing her candid response to a 60-year-old married man who reportedly approached her seeking a r0mantic relationship.
According to the woman, the man is married with children who reside outside Nigeria. She said he expressed his affection for her and told her that he was attracted to her, but also made it clear that he did not want money to be the foundation of their relationship.
The woman, however, questioned what she would gain from such a relationship if financial support and material benefits were excluded.
In her words:
“Sir, you don’t hold any value to me without your money. You’re 60 years old and you’re coming to me to look for love? It’s the confidence for me. What exactly am I supposed to be doing with you if it’s not your money? That’s the koko.”
She went on to explain that she was not interested in getting married or having children, arguing that the man's financial resources and material possessions were the main things he could offer her.
The woman also questioned why a married older man would approach a younger woman while simultaneously insisting that money should not play a role in the relationship.
“I cannot love you. What you have to offer me is that money, material things. You see fine young blood like me. You want to have me, and the money will not be the basis.
You are old. You’re married with children, and you’re saying money shouldn’t be the basis. How dare you?” she added.
Her comments have since generated a debate across social media, with users expressing differing opinions about her position, the man's expectations and the dynamics of the relationship she described.
