DISCLAIMER ON THE PURPORTED ENDORSEMENT OF SENATOR JIDE IPINSAGBA
The attention of the leadership and members of Omoye Klob Youth Wing, Ikare Akoko, has been drawn to a purported endorsement of Distinguished Senator Jide Ipinsagba for a second term bid, allegedly made on behalf of the association by the President, Comrade Obamehinti Suliyat.
I, Omoye Lawal Afeez Oladimeji ALONSO, the General Secretary of Omoye Klob Youth Wing, hereby state categorically that the said endorsement was solely a personal decision of the President and did not in any way emanate from the collective resolution, approval, or consultation of the Executive Council and the concerned members of the association.
Omoye Klob Youth Wing is a respected socio-developmental body built on unity, consultation, integrity, and due process. As such, no official endorsement of any political office holder or aspirant can validly stand without proper deliberation and approval from the appropriate organs of the association.
The leadership of the association deeply regrets the embarrassment, misunderstanding, and misrepresentation caused by the unilateral declaration, which does not reflect the standard, neutrality, and integrity for which Omoye Klob Youth Wing is known.
On behalf of the association, I sincerely tender our unreserved apology to members, stakeholders, political leaders, and the general public over the unfortunate development.
We reaffirm our commitment to transparency, collective decision-making, peace, unity, and the progress of Ikare Akoko and Akoko North East at large.
