Ipinsagba, Adelegbe, Derin, Makinde, Odimayo , and Adefarati's names absent, as Tinubu approves automatic tickets for senators and members of the House of Representatives

Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reportedly approved automatic tickets for some key senators ahead of the 2027 elections, including Orji Uzor Kalu, Abdulaziz Yari, and Opeyemi Bamidele.

As part of the reported political strategy, Kalu has also been directed to coordinate the activities of the All Progressives Congress in Abia State.

The move is seen as part of a broader effort by the ruling party to strengthen its structure ahead of the 2027 general elections. Analysts say the decision could help consolidate influence in key regions, especially in the South-East, where the party has been working to expand its support base.

Kalu’s new role is expected to focus on uniting party members, building grassroots structures, and positioning the APC for stronger electoral performance in Abia State.

The reported automatic ticket arrangement for top lawmakers is also viewed as a way to reward loyalty and maintain stability within the party as political alignments begin to take shape ahead of the next election cycle
