Nigerian actress Etinosa Idemudia has her views on relationships, polygamy, and scripture in a recent Instagram video.
In the clip, Etinosa referenced the biblical account of King Solomon, who had many wives, and the story of Jesus’ encounter with the Samaritan woman who had multiple husbands. She used these examples to argue that men often misinterpret the Bible when it comes to relationships and gender roles.
The actress further stated that if polygamous behaviour is accepted or associated with men, women should not be judged for doing the same, adding the popular saying: “What is good for the goose is good for the gander.”
Her comments have since divided social media users, with many criticising the interpretation while others support her call for equal standards in relationships.
