The situation in Owo-Ose Federal Constituency is tensed this morning as Arowele was apprehended. We wish to inform the general public, party members, and stakeholders that Chief Adebayo Arowele has been disqualified as an aspirant in the forthcoming Direct Primary for the House of Representatives.
The disqualification follows the recommendation of the Screening Committee after careful review of security reports and credible petitions bordering on serious breaches of party guidelines and electoral laws.
In a related development, the Nigerian Police Force has arrested Chief Arowele for allegedly evading multiple lawful invitations extended to him by the authorities. The arrest was effected after repeated failures to honour police invitations for questioning on matters linked to his aspiration.
The APC remains committed to transparency, due process, and the emergence of credible candidates who will uphold the ideals of the party and effectively represent the good people of Owo-Ose Federal Constituency.
We urge all party faithful to remain calm and law-abiding as the primary process continues. Party faithfuls should go out to exercise their democratic right.
