Fresh updates from GovSpend, a civic tech platform tracking Federal Government expenditures, have revealed that the Presidential Air Fleet received at least ₦4.24 billion in disbursements between June and December 2025.
According to findings by The PUNCH, the funds were paid into the Presidential Air Fleet naira transit account through eight separate transactions across June, July, and December.
Breakdown of the disbursements includes:

▪️ ₦430m — July 24
▪️ ₦1.28bn — July 25
▪️ ₦92m — July 29
▪️ ₦626m — July 31
▪️ ₦9m — December 18 (listed as forex transit funds)
▪️ ₦343.9m — December 30
▪️ ₦90.9m — December 31
The highest concentration of transfers reportedly occurred within one week in July, amounting to over ₦2.43bn.
The revelations have sparked renewed conversations around government spending transparency and public accountability amid Nigeria’s economic challenges.
