Frontline aspirant for Akoko North Federal Constituency receive Royal Blessings from Olukare of Ikare kingdom ahead of 2027 election

In a show of respect for tradition and cultural heritage, Hon. Moruf Tosin (Murphy), a leading aspirant for the Akoko North Federal Constituency House of Representatives seat, visited the Olukare of Ikare Kingdom.

He was warmly received by His Imperial Majesty, the Olukare, and his council of high chiefs. The highpoint of the visit was the fatherly prayers offered for Hon Murphy’s success ahead of the primaries.

Addressing the royal father and his chiefs, Hon Murphy reiterated the historical ties binding the communities in the constituency. He noted that the friendship between Ikare Akoko, Ogbagi, Irun, Ese, and Afin has existed for decades, recalling the contributions of the late Hon Falade from Irun and the late Chief Umar Korobo (the late Oluko).

He passionately pleaded:

> “I want this love to continue. I seek your continued support as we move forward together.”

The Olukare and his chiefs gave their royal blessings to Hon Murphy, praying for his victory and for him to become a worthy representative of the people. The monarch commended his humility and commitment to consulting with traditional rulers.

Hon Murphy expressed gratitude for the warm reception and pledged to uphold the values of unity, development, and inclusive representation if elected.
