Fani-Kayode says Pantami's victory in Gombe primaries election would be a win for the APC

Former Minister of Aviation Femi Fani-Kayode has publicly declared his support for former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy Isa Ali Pantami ahead of the forthcoming governorship primary election of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gombe State.

In a statement posted on his official X account on Thursday, Fani-Kayode described Pantami as a trusted friend and expressed strong confidence in his chances of securing victory, both in the APC primary election and the eventual governorship contest in the state.

According to the former aviation minister, Pantami possesses the leadership capacity and administrative experience required to govern Gombe State effectively.

 He noted that Pantami’s previous role in the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari provided him with valuable exposure to national governance and public service.

Fani-Kayode stated that he sincerely hoped Pantami would emerge as the APC candidate, represent the party in the governorship election, and ultimately secure victory at the polls.

 He further described the former communications minister as a distinguished figure who has continued to make meaningful contributions to Nigeria’s development.

The endorsement comes at a time when political consultations and strategic alliances are intensifying ahead of the APC governorship primary in Gombe State. 

Political analysts believe that public backing from influential figures within the ruling party could significantly boost Pantami’s standing among party delegates and stakeholders involved in the selection process.
