Former lawmaker, Rt. Hon. Evelyn Omavowan Oboro, has officially withdrawn from the APC primary election for the Okpe/Sapele/Uvwie Federal Constituency seat.
In a statement released on Friday, Oboro said her decision followed advice from the leader of the party in Delta State, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
She explained that the move was made in the interest of unity, peace and progress of the constituency ahead of the primary election scheduled for May 16, 2026.
Oboro also thanked her supporters, friends and political team for their encouragement, prayers and support throughout her consultations and campaign activities.
“To God be all the glory, honour and praise,” she stated.
