Social media users are shocked by a man's article explaining why he turned down a scholarship to study abroad.
The man, @TJKings01 on X (previously Twitter), apologised for turning down the enticing offer.
The X user claims that he was in a relationship with a female he really liked when he received his National Diploma.
@TJKings01 revealed in the post that has gone viral on social media that his family offered him their support after learning about the scholarship.
He eventually turned down the offer, though, after telling his partner, who said he would move on with another woman.
Contrary to their preparations, his girlfriend unexpectedly received direct admission to the university.
But in the end, she broke up with him, blaming their remoteness from one another.
”Fast forward to after our ND graduation, this girl did direct entry to Benin as against what we planned, she later called me one day and called off the relationship, claiming that long distance doesn’t work for her”, He stated.
The tweet included a chat of the man informing his girlfriend about the full-paid scholarship to China, and she responded, “You’re going to leave me in Nigeria after all we’ve been through together because of some scholarship“.
