The Owo Local Government Area Student Union (OLGASU) strongly condemns the abduction of our former President, Comrade Osunma Kolade. This unfortunate and alarming incident is a direct threat not only to the individual involved but also to the peace, safety, and stability of our community. Such acts of criminality are unacceptable and must be treated with the utmost urgency.
We express our deepest sympathy and solidarity with the family, friends, and associates of Comrade Osunma Kolade during this difficult time. The rising wave of abductions and insecurity in our society has become a serious concern, instilling fear among residents and undermining public confidence in safety structures.
OLGASU hereby calls on all relevant security agencies to immediately intensify efforts to secure the safe and unconditional release of our former President. We urge swift intelligence gathering, coordinated rescue operations, and the full deployment of necessary resources to ensure that the perpetrators are apprehended and brought to justice without delay.
Furthermore, we call on the government at all levels to take decisive and proactive steps in addressing the growing menace of insecurity. There is an urgent need to strengthen security architecture, enhance surveillance, and provide adequate support to law enforcement agencies to prevent further occurrences of such incidents.
We also appeal to members of the public to remain calm, vigilant, and cooperative with security operatives by sharing any useful information that may aid ongoing efforts.
