She graduated from the Department of Quantity Surveying with a stellar cumulative grade point average of 4.85 out of 5.00 during the 2025 academic session.
Dorcas earned an impressive 68 A’s and 12 B’s across all her courses.
She shared that she didn’t enter the university with the intention of graduating with a First Class, but grace found her.
If someone had told her back in 100 level that this moment would be hers, she probably would have smiled politely and said nothing.
She walked into the university as an orphan, carrying burdens heavier than anyone her age should bear. Life hit so hard that she withdrew into silence, the kind where you show up physically, but your heart feels far away.
At some point, her CGPA dropped to 4.42, and people were quick to remind her that a First Class wasn’t for everyone. “Don’t set your mind on it,” they said. “That’s just how life is.” She heard it all.
But somewhere along the way, little by little, she found her strength again. She found purpose and she found herself.
Today, she has emerged with the remarkable achievement of a First Class Honours degree.
