Customer steals sex worker's money, bag, shoes at Makurdi hotel and and flees without paying for services

A sex worker was allegedly robbed of her possessions at a hotel in Makurdi, Benue State, by an unidentified man.

The young woman's phone, purse, Crocs, and the N18,000 she earned from her "business" that day were all taken by the man, according to Comrade Abeen Mph, a Benue lecturer who shared the story on Facebook. He also left behind his worn-out bathroom slippers.

He went on to say that the man not only failed to reimburse her for the services she provided, but he also deceived her into paying for the hotel room by saying he was having problems with his banking app.

Abeen claims that he heard a disturbance outside his window as he was getting ready to leave his room for lectures.

He stepped out of his room and found the young lady sitting outside, visibly distressed after her experience.

“A lot is happening in our small MAKURDI these days, and some GIRLS who choose certain paths are really going through hard times. Sadly too, simple acts of goodwill can sometimes leave you regretting ever helping,” he wrote.

"This morning at the hotel where I lodged last night, something shocking happened.

"I was in my room preparing to leave for lectures when I heard the manager and a few men discussing an issue just outside my window.

"Curious, I stepped out to find a young LADY sitting outside, BAREFOOTED. On the ground were a pair of bathroom slippers, badly torn at the edges.

"From what I gathered, a man had picked the lady from OLD SCHOOL the LAST night, around 11 p.m. to midnight, and brought her to the hotel.

"He told the manager he was having issues with his banking app, either due to a daily limit or network problem, and pleaded to be given a room with a promise to pay before checkout.

"Out of pity, the lady reportedly paid N5,000 for the room on his behalf, hoping to collect it back from him later before they leave the Hotel. She didn’t disclose how much he had paid her for the NIGHT ANYWAY.
