Uba Sani Gets New Role as Tinubu Unveils Renewed Hope Mobilisation Team

ABUJA — Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Uba Sani, Governor of Kaduna State, as Renewed Hope Ambassador and Deputy Director-General for Party Outreach, Engagement and Mobilisation, with immediate effect.

The appointment was announced in a statement issued on February 17, 2026, by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy. According to the statement, President Tinubu, in his capacity as leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), cited Governor Sani’s leadership qualities and organisational competence as key reasons for the choice.

As part of his new role, Governor Sani is expected to work closely with the Director-General of the Renewed Hope Ambassador initiative and the APC leadership, particularly the party’s National Chairman, to promote harmony, inclusiveness and strategic coordination across all mobilisation and engagement structures.

The President also tasked the Renewed Hope Ambassador team with galvanising support for the APC by promoting and disseminating the party’s programmes, policies, milestones and achievements, with the aim of strengthening public confidence and reinforcing the Renewed Hope message nationwide.

In a letter conveying the appointment, President Tinubu said the overarching goal is to ensure broad national acceptance of the APC and its candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections, stressing that early preparation and strategic leadership will be critical to achieving success.
