In a recent video shared on Facebook, Primate Ayodele issued a warning directed at Nigeria’s president, raising alarm over what he described as an impending and dangerous threat to the nation’s stability.
Speaking with urgency, the cleric claimed that intelligence and spiritual insight pointed to the emergence of another coup attempt, which he emphasized would be far more violent than previous ones.
According to Ayodele, the alleged plot represents the third attempt to undermine the current administration.
He recalled that there had already been two earlier efforts, suggesting that the forces behind them have not relented.
This time, however, he stressed that the situation is more serious and potentially devastating, insisting that the coming coup would be particularly bloody in nature.
In his message, the primate alleged that the planned coup is not solely an internal affair but is being influenced and supported by external interests.
He warned that a specific foreign country, which he did not name, is supposedly involved in backing the plot.
This external dimension, he implied, makes the threat even more dangerous, as it introduces international interests into Nigeria’s internal security challenges.
Ayodele called directly on the president to pay close attention to his warning and to take proactive steps to avert disaster.
He emphasized the need for vigilance and preparedness at the highest levels of government, arguing that ignoring such signals could have severe consequences for the country.
Despite the ominous tone of his message, the cleric pointed to what he described as a potential safeguard against the looming danger.
He expressed confidence in the role of Nigeria’s security architecture, singling out the Department of State Services (DSS) as a critical institution capable of stopping the alleged plot if it acts decisively.
In his own words, Primate Ayodele said, “Let me call attention of the president of Nigeria that another Bloody coup, this one is bloody, underline it is bloody coup. It is coming, they will attempt you, coup two times and another process making three. But this coup that is coming, a particular country outside Nigeria want to back this coup. The only saving grace will be the DSS.”
