As the political heat in Rivers State continues to boil, a member of the Rivers State Elders Forum, Asukewe Ikoawaji, has sent a strong message to the Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike. Speaking in an interview on Arise News, the elder statesman noted that the Minister’s rise to power is a miracle of destiny.
Ikoawaji urged the former governor to look back at where he started before the current fame and influence. He reminded everyone that in the early days of this democracy, nobody could have predicted such a massive success story.
“If he can take his mind back to 1998, he never believed that he would get to where he is today,” Ikoawaji said during the interview.
The elder’s words have sparked a lot of talk in Port Harcourt and across the state. Many residents expressed shock at how quickly political tides turn, with some feeling a sense of nostalgia for the simpler days of 1998.
