According to a report by News Central TV, on Saturday February 7, 2026, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Pearse Adetokunbo, has leveled explosive corruption allegations against Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court, claiming the judge has been "compromised" by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike.
Adetokunbo alleged that Justice Omotosho and several other judicial officers are beneficiaries of illicit land and property gifts from the former Rivers State Governor.
The PDP chieftain claimed that documented evidence exists showing judges visiting Wike to solicit favors.
He argued that these alleged gifts have created a bias in the judiciary, ensuring that any legal matter involving Nyesom Wike or his political associates is decided in their favor.
"Omotosho, a man who has been compromised. It is on record. One of the judges that Wike has given land and property to. They have been compromised," Adetokunbo stated in the video.
Adetokunbo further alleged the existence of a video showing high-ranking judges appealing to the Minister for land allocations.
He suggested that these interactions have stripped the affected judges of their impartiality.
"There is a video where the judges went to beg Wike for land. Those judges, whenever any case goes to them, it goes in favour of Wike and his people," he added.
