Kidnappers Arrested After Taking Sick Child to Their Victim’s Hospital

Suspected kidnappers linked to the abduction of medical doctor Ibrahim Tahir and the killing of his younger brother have been arrested in a dramatic twist of fate.

The suspects were reportedly apprehended after taking their sick child to the Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) of the same hospital where Dr. Tahir works. Coincidentally, the doctor was at the hospital for wound dressing when he allegedly recognised and identified them as members of the gang that kidnapped him.

Security operatives were immediately alerted, leading to the swift arrest of the suspects at the facility.

Dr. Tahir was abducted alongside his younger brother on January 2, 2025, at their residence in Auchi, Edo State. Although his family reportedly paid a ₦50 million ransom to secure his release, his younger brother was later found dead, allegedly killed by the abductors.

The incident has sparked widespread reactions, with many describing the arrest as karma catching up in an unexpected way.
