Olayinka Oyegbile, political analyst and writer, has commented on recent political developments in Rivers State during an interview on TVC News, describing the tone of Governor Wike’s statements as positive and the meeting between the parties as constructive.
Oyegbile expressed confidence that the governor would not return to Rivers State and be influenced by people who might oppose cooperation. He stressed the importance of focusing on what the president had advised in order to maintain political unity in the state.
He emphasized that a divided Rivers State could have negative consequences for the president’s political success, particularly during elections, highlighting the broader implications of local disagreements.
