Chinko Ekun grew up as the second child in a family of three, and though a native of Ikare, Ondo State, he spent his formative years in Lagos. He attended Blessing Nursery and Primary School and later Remade Nursery and Primary School, both in Lagos, before moving on to Baptist Model High School in Ijegun for his secondary education.
Following secondary school, he pursued a Law degree at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) and subsequently completed his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program in Lagos, balancing academics with a growing interest in music.
