The leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has said President Bola Tinubu is doing better than former Presidents Muhammadu Buhari and Goodluck Jonathan, but many Nigerians still do not like him.
Speaking in Lagos, the cleric said Tinubu has achieved some progress, especially in road projects. He mentioned the Coastal Road, saying travel time from Lagos to Calabar could now take about four hours instead of nearly a full day.
However, he claimed the President’s biggest challenge is the people around him. According to him, some close allies do not support Tinubu’s second-term ambition in 2027.
Primate Ayodele also warned that the 2027 election will be different from 2023. He said many Nigerians are ready to come out in large numbers to vote.
He further stated that some governors and members of the House of Representatives may not win re-election unless there is manipulation.
On the electoral body, he said Nigerians may not appreciate the efforts of the INEC Chairman in the next election.
He advised leaders to change their strategies and focus more on the needs of the people ahead of 2027.
