Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, has announced a $1 billion investment in Zimbabwe, targeting cement production, power generation, and key infrastructure projects.
This move signals renewed investor confidence in Zimbabwe’s economy under President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s reforms.
Dangote’s earlier attempts to invest in Zimbabwe during Robert Mugabe’s rule faced bureaucratic hurdles but this time, the deal has been formally sealed to support Zimbabwe’s Vision 2030 development agenda.
