Nigeria at 66: NDC Senatorial Candidate Gbenga Falaiye Salutes Nigerians, Seeks Support for Nation-Building

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for Ondo Central Senatorial District, Hon. Gbenga Falaiye, has congratulated Nigerians on the occasion of the country’s 66th Independence Anniversary, calling for renewed patriotism, unity and collective efforts towards building a better Nigeria.

Falaiye, in his Independence Day message, extended warm greetings to Nigerians at home and abroad, particularly the people of Ondo Central Senatorial District, while acknowledging the resilience and determination that have sustained the country through its 66 years as an independent nation.

He said the anniversary should serve as an opportunity for Nigerians to reflect on the nation's journey, appreciate the sacrifices of past generations and renew their commitment to creating a country where citizens can enjoy greater opportunities, security, dignity and prosperity.

According to him, the challenges confronting the country should not diminish the people's hope for a better future, but should strengthen the determination of citizens to demand responsible leadership, effective representation and policies that place the welfare of the people at the centre of governance.

Falaiye stressed the importance of unity and active participation in the democratic process, saying Nigerians must continue to work together across political, ethnic and religious lines to build a nation that provides opportunities for its young people, supports businesses and empowers communities.

The NDC candidate also called on the people of Ondo Central to support the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and its vision for a better Nigeria, describing collective support for the party as part of the broader effort to promote purposeful representation, accountability and development.

He maintained that the people deserve representatives who will listen to their concerns, champion their interests and remain accessible and accountable to their constituents.

Falaiye further assured the people of Ondo Central that his aspiration to represent the district in the Senate remains driven by a commitment to people centred representation and sustainable development. His previously stated campaign position has emphasised accessibility, accountability and development across the six local government areas of the senatorial district.

He urged Nigerians to use the Independence anniversary to renew their faith in the country and contribute positively to its development, stressing that a better Nigeria requires the collective responsibility of citizens and leaders.
