President of KAGOTE, Chief Lesi Maol, has sponsored the maiden edition of the All-Ogoni Secondary Schools Football Competition with a total prize and award package of ₦68 million.
The competition, which will bring together 56 secondary schools from the six kingdoms of Ogoniland, is scheduled to kick off on Monday, October 5, 2026, at Alesa Stadium in Eleme.
The opening match will see CSS B-Dere take on CSS Kabangha as participating schools begin their quest for the championship.
The winner of the competition will receive ₦20 million, while the second and third-placed teams will receive ₦10 million and ₦5 million respectively. Each participating team will also receive ₦500,000.
The competition is aimed at providing young Ogoni footballers with a platform to showcase their talents and attract the attention of football scouts.
The opening ceremony will also feature cultural performances and entertainment as part of activities marking the commencement of the tournament.
