We will deliver a beating to Iran that will be remembered for a very long time - Donald Trump

According to Aljazeera, President Donald Trump issued a stark warning to Iran on Tuesday, declaring that the United States will deliver a “beating” to the Islamic Republic following a new wave of attacks targeting American military installations in the Middle East.

“Iran and its proxies have been put on notice,” Trump told reporters at the White House. “If they hit our bases, they will suffer consequences they have never faced before. "We will deliver a beating to Iran that will be remembered for a very long time.”

The President’s comments come after a series of drone and rocket strikes against US positions in Syria and Iraq over the past 48 hours. While there were no reported US casualties, officials confirmed damage to infrastructure at two forward operating sites.

“We are assessing the full scope of these attacks,” a senior defense official stated. “Our forces maintain the right to self-defense, and we are preparing a range of options.”

Trump’s rhetoric signals a significant escalation in tensions, which had cooled slightly in recent months following indirect negotiations. However, the President has consistently maintained a "maximum pressure" campaign, and his latest remarks suggest a potential shift toward more overt military action.

“We are not looking for war, but we are not running from it either,” Trump added.

The Pentagon has confirmed that additional naval assets are being repositioned within the region as a deterrent. Meanwhile, international allies have urged restraint, warning that a direct US-Iran confrontation could destabilize the already volatile Gulf region.
