A Nigerian man, David Oyedeji Adediwura, has died in a fatal road crash in the United Kingdom. The incident occurred around 9:38 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, on Cory Wright Way in Wheathampstead.
Hertfordshire Police said a silver Vauxhall Astra carrying Adediwura and two other men collided with a grey BMW 840i. The three occupants of the Astra aged in their 30s, 40s, and 50s were pronounced dead at the scene. The BMW driver, a man in his 30s, sustained serious injuries and was hospitalised.
A former colleague at Yodel and DHL, Iretiayo Oyewole, launched a GoFundMe campaign with a £10,000 target to support Adediwura's wife and three children.
His widow, Modinat Adebayo, described his death as the darkest moment of her life. She said the family had relocated from Nigeria to the UK in search of a better future, but their dreams were tragically cut short.
