Actor Charles Okocha was declared the winner of his celebrity boxing rematch against street-pop singer Portable (Habeeb Okikiola) after the singer was disqualified for walking out of the ring before the end of the opening round.
The bout took place on Friday at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The rematch quickly descended into chaos as both celebrities abandoned boxing and became involved in a wrestling-style scuffle, forcing the referee and security officials to intervene. Amid the confusion, Portable left the ring and refused to return despite repeated appeals from officials. The referee subsequently disqualified him, handing Okocha victory.
