The cleric claims that the APC is facing both political and spiritual decline. He warns that popular resentment is growing, even suggesting that wearing APC-branded T-shirts in the future could trigger public hostility.
The Primate specifically pointed out Lagos State—the traditional stronghold of President Bola Tinubu’s "City Boy" movement—stating that if top party members impose a wrong candidate for the next gubernatorial race, APC will lose Lagos.
Ayodele has consistently teased that "two people" have the spiritual backing to defeat both President Tinubu and PDP’s Atiku Abubakar, dropping hints about a massive political realignment involving smaller parties like the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
He claims that as many as eight APC governors will secretly or openly work against the President’s re-election bid.
Despite predicting a tough road for the APC, Ayodele also sent a reality check to the opposition. He noted that unseating Tinubu will be totally impossible for "lazy" or purely "righteous" politicians. He stated that whoever wants to win must be unified, fiercely determined, fearless, rugged, and financially stable to match the APC’s political machinery.
