Look at this — a man comes to church dressed properly, ready to worship, and they hand him a **RCCG Toilet Ticket** for ₦200 just to ease himself. In the sanctuary of the Most High God.
How can this be acceptable?
In churches that raise huge sums for conventions, build expensive structures, and organise massive crusades, worshippers are now forced to pay before they can answer a basic call of nature? This is completely wrong. It is unacceptable. It is not the standard of the house of the Lord.
A frustrated and loyal RCCG member sent this picture to me through my comment section, pained and disappointed. He begged me to speak out. I had chosen not to address this church anymore, but this one cannot be ignored. When members are this frustrated, something is seriously broken.
This toilet ticket system reveals a deeper sickness in how we practice Christianity in Nigeria and across Africa. We have commercialised almost everything in the church. We collect money from every angle, yet we cannot provide free, dignified toilets for people who come to seek God. We spend millions on big events and projects, but we turn basic human needs into another revenue stream. This is not biblical. This is not Christ-like. This is a serious deviation from the true gospel.
Churches with so much financial strength should correct this practice immediately. It brings embarrassment to the body of Christ and makes outsiders question what we truly stand for. We must stop turning the Father's house into a place where people pay for everything — including the right to relieve themselves.
This must stop now.
To RCCG and every other church involved in this: It is time to rise up and correct this. Provide proper facilities for your members without attaching a price tag to basic dignity. Focus on serving the people, not squeezing them at every opportunity. We can build great conventions and crusades, but we must also care for the simple needs of those who gather to worship.
This is not how Christianity should look in Nigeria. We must do better. We must return to decency and genuine care.
