I Cleared the Bushes at Ojukwu University Campus — Peter Obi Responds to Critics

NDC presidential candidate Peter Obi has dismissed claims that he failed to build schools during his tenure as Anambra State governor, insisting he did far more than construct classrooms.

Speaking on Channels Television's One-on-One, Obi responded to questions about his record, saying critics often overlook the projects his administration executed.

"Seun, I built more than schools," he said.

Pressed to name schools he built, Obi pointed to the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University campus in Igbariam, noting that the site was a bush before his administration transformed it.

"If you go to today, Odumegwu Ojukwu University… there's a place called Igbariam campus. Seun, I cut the grass. What I mean, it was a bush. I leveled the bush."

The former governor said the campus was developed from scratch under his watch, and that his government invested heavily in education beyond just building structures.
