VeryDarkMan Urges Tinubu to Intensify Offensive Against Bandits, Terrorists

ABUJA, NIGERIA – Social media activist and commentator Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to take stronger military action against bandits and terrorist groups operating across Nigeria.

Reacting to President Tinubu’s Democracy Day address on Thursday, VeryDarkMan argued that the time had come for decisive action against criminal groups that have continued to fuel insecurity, kidnappings, and violent attacks in different parts of the country.

According to him, successive appeals by the Federal Government for bandits and terrorists to surrender and lay down their weapons have not produced the desired results.

“President Bola Tinubu, this is the time to move in. You have been calling for bandits and terrorists to surrender and drop down their arms for the longest time,” VeryDarkMan stated.

His comments come amid growing public concern over the security situation in parts of the country, including recent kidnappings, attacks on communities, and the abduction of schoolchildren in Oyo State.

In his Democracy Day speech, President Tinubu reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to tackling insecurity and warned criminal elements and sponsors of terrorism to surrender or face the full force of the law.

The President also praised the efforts of the armed forces, police, and intelligence agencies for their sacrifices in protecting the nation.

VeryDarkMan’s remarks have generated reactions on social media, with supporters urging the government to intensify military operations, while others called for a combination of security measures, intelligence gathering, and community engagement to address the root causes of violence.
