Political analyst and scholar, Udenta Udenta, has projected possible vote outcomes for the 2027 presidential election, offering contrasting predictions for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and former Labour Party candidate, Peter Obi.
He noted that in the 2023 elections, Tinubu secured about 8 million votes, but argued that performance in office could affect future support.
“In 2023, Bola Tinubu scored 8 million votes—with how woeful he has performed, I don’t expect him to score more than 5 million votes,” he said.
Udenta further suggested that Peter Obi could significantly increase his electoral support if current political momentum continues.
“Peter Obi has the potential to score over 11 million votes in 2027,” he added.
