Operatives of the Iru Ekun Security Network, founded by Chief Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, have arrested two suspected k!dnappers and rescued two abducted persons in Ora-Igbomina, Osun State.
The operation followed intelligence reports that three residents of the community had been abd¥cted by @rmed men and taken into a nearby forest.
Acting on the information, operatives of the security outfit launched a search operation in the area and successfully tracked down the suspects.
According to the team leader, the suspects confessed during preliminary interrogation to their involvement in the abd¥ction. The operatives overpowered and arrested the suspects while rescuing two of the victims unharmed.
Efforts are currently ongoing to locate and secure the release of the third victim still believed to be in captivity.
The suspects have since been handed over to the Nigeria Police Division in Oke-Ila, Osun State, for further investigation and possible prosecution.
Founder of the security outfit, Chief Sunday Igboho, commended the operatives for their professionalism and dedication. He reiterated that Iru Ekun was established to complement the efforts of conventional security agencies through intelligence gathering, early warning systems and rapid response to security threats in communities.
He also called on traditional rulers, community leaders and residents to remain vigilant and continue to provide useful information that could assist security agencies in tackling cr!minal activities.
The security outfit assured members of the public that efforts to rescue the remaining victim are ongoing and that further updates will be provided as the operation progresses
