UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland showed up at the Freedom 250 fan fest near the White House despite the drama over his attendance. The outspoken American champ had claimed he was banned from the event celebrating America's 250th anniversary because of his past comments. UFC boss Dana White pushed back hard, saying no ban existed and Strickland was welcome.
Strickland went in undercover wearing a hoodie. When fans spotted him and asked him to remove it, he did. The crowd swarmed fast. Police moved in quickly to escort him out and keep things under control. Later footage showed Strickland in a police vehicle, noting the officers likely saved him from getting mobbed and saying he broke no laws.
