Popular media personality, Rufai Oseni, has called on Nollywood actor Emeka Ike to institute legal action against the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) following allegations that the actor’s personal data was accessed by a political aide linked to Nyesom Wike.
Speaking on the issue, Oseni expressed strong concerns over the integrity of INEC, insisting that the electoral body must submit itself to an independent forensic audit. According to him, the alleged incident raises serious questions about data security within the commission.
“We’re not going to accept INEC’s report,” Oseni stated. “What we’re asking is that the INEC chairman should subject himself to an independent forensic audit because INEC, as an institution, is tainted.”
He further questioned how a political aide could allegedly gain access to sensitive personal data, warning that such a breach could imply even deeper vulnerabilities.
“How could an ordinary political aide have access to Emeka Ike’s data? You can only imagine what politicians would have access to if just a political aide can access such information, and we’re watching,” he added.
