Pakistan: US-Iran Peace Deal Reached, Signing Set for June 19

Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced Sunday that the United States and Iran have struck a peace deal to end months of conflict. Both sides would immediately halt all military operations, including in Lebanon, with a formal signing ceremony scheduled for June 19 in Switzerland.

President Trump quickly backed the announcement, declaring the deal complete and lifting the U.S. naval blockade on the Strait of Hormuz. Pakistan, which has positioned itself as a key mediator, thanked allies like Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Türkiye for their involvement.
