The Executive Chairman of Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Local Government, Hon. Adebare Adeboye, has officially received the Best Performing Council Chairman on Infrastructure in Ondo State award at the 2026 Rootswatch Magazine Local Government Chairmen Merit Award ceremony held on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, in Abuja.
The prestigious recognition followed a rigorous nomination, screening, and assessment process conducted by Rootswatch Magazine, during which Hon. Adebare emerged as the top-performing chairman in the area of infrastructure development among the 18 local government chairmen in Ondo State.
According to the organizers, the selection process involved independent evaluations, detailed investigations, and reviews of infrastructural projects and developmental initiatives executed across various local government areas. Following the comprehensive assessment, Hon. Adebare Adeboye was adjudged the most outstanding chairman in infrastructure development for his impactful projects and commitment to grassroots transformation in Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Local Government.
The award serves as a recognition of the remarkable strides recorded by the Adebare-led administration within a relatively short period in office. Recall that since assuming office, the council chairman has prioritized strategic infrastructure projects aimed at improving the welfare of residents, enhancing public facilities, and laying a solid foundation for sustainable development.
These achievements were attributed to Hon. Adebare’s visionary leadership, administrative experience, and dedication to delivering tangible results for the people. Having previously served as a Supervisory Councillor and Vice Chairman of the council, and LCDA Chairman, he has continued to leverage his grassroots experience and understanding of local governance to drive meaningful development across the local government.
The recognition is also seen as a reflection of the enabling environment created by the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and the developmental support provided by the administration of Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.
Speaking after receiving the award, Hon. Adebare expressed appreciation to the people of Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Local Government for their support and confidence in his administration. He dedicated the award to the residents of the local government and reaffirmed his commitment to delivering more impactful projects and people-oriented programmes.
The award further strengthens Hon.
