Prince Emorioloye Owolemi, an APC chieftain, activist, human rights crusader, and Director General of the Tinubu Media Team, has announced his decision to reconcile with the Minister of Interior, , following months of political and legal controversies that drew public attention.
In a statement made available to journalists, Owolemi described the All Progressives Congress (APC) as a family oriented political party where unity, reconciliation, and respect for leadership remain paramount. According to him, disagreements within the party are best resolved through dialogue, understanding, and commitment to the collective interest of the APC.
The APC stalwart stated that despite the challenges, incarceration, imprisonment, and difficult experiences he endured during the period of disagreement, he has chosen the path of peace, unity, and reconciliation under the canopy of the ruling party.
He explained that the decision was taken in good faith to promote harmony within the APC family in Ondo State and strengthen the unity of the party at both the state and national levels.
Owolemi expressed appreciation to those who stood by him during the difficult period, including supporters, associates, and well wishers who offered prayers and encouragement. He also acknowledged those who criticized him and those who did not support him during his trying time, noting that every experience contributed to the lessons learned throughout the period.
The APC chieftain urged his supporters not to misinterpret the reconciliation, emphasizing that the move should not be seen as a sign of weakness but as a deliberate step taken in the overall interest of the party, the people, and the nation.
According to document made available to journalists, an authorization letter dated June 10, 2026, was received by the administrative representative of Ogbulu Chambers, through which Owolemi formally authorized the legal team to proceed without further delay in facilitating the reconciliation process. The authorization empowers the lawyers to engage directly with the Minister, his legal representatives, associates, or any relevant stakeholders to ensure that the reconciliation efforts are successfully concluded.
"Peace remains inevitable in every society, and reconciliation is the ultimate resolution of every conflict," Owolemi stated, while thanking God Almighty for preserving his life through the trying times.
