Black Contractors Fume Over unpaid work on Obama Presidential Center as it opens In Chicago — costs near $1 Billion

Fox News highlighted outrage from Black contractors who say they still have not been paid for work on the Obama Presidential Center, even as the facility prepares to open Friday in Chicago.

"So many of our black contractors are complaining they have not got their money. A lot of the black community and newspapers do not know," one contractor stated on camera.

The same contractor tied the issue to past broken promises from the Obama era, saying, "You can file that with 'you can keep your doctor.'"

The project has seen costs balloon to nearly a billion dollars amid reports of delays and overruns. The video showed polished footage of the modern, angular complex with landscaped grounds and pathways, while critics described the design as an "abomination" and "tower of terror."

On-screen elements in the segment included a post from President Trump noting that in ten years the site would become a "Mecca" for those who hate America, paired with images contrasting the official vision against urban blight and encampments.

The segment also noted that much of the local Black community remains unaware of the contractors' complaints.
