Pop superstar Ariana Grande has publicly criticized the White House after her 2024 hit “Bye” was used in a social media video promoting U.S. immigration enforcement policies.
The TikTok clip featured border agents handcuffing individuals and escorting them into detention vehicles, alongside the caption: “Bye-bye… President Trump has delivered the most secure border in history.”
Reacting to the post, Grande condemned the use of her music, describing the video as “barbaric, inhumane, heinous nonsense” and urging the White House not to associate her work with such content.
Following her criticism, the White House reportedly muted the video’s audio and removed her comment from the post.
However, White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson defended the video, stating that the individuals shown were “criminal illegal aliens” who had harmed innocent American citizens.
The incident has reignited debates over immigration policy, government messaging, and the use of artists’ music in political content without their endorsement.
