Twelve countries have officially been eliminated from the 2026 FIFA World Cup following the latest round of group-stage matches, with four more teams expected to exit after the final group fixtures.
The latest nations to bow out of the tournament are Iraq, Uruguay, Saudi Arabia, and New Zealand.
Senegal secured a dominant 5-0 victory over 10-man Iraq to finish third in Group I, while Belgium thrashed New Zealand 5-1 to keep their campaign alive.
Elsewhere, Uruguay were eliminated after a 1-0 defeat to Spain, while Saudi Arabia's 0-0 draw against Cape Verde was not enough to secure qualification for the knockout stage.
By the end of the group stage, a total of 16 teams will have been eliminated from the competition.
