A California woman has filed a lawsuit accusing a man of secretly recording an intimate video during an online interaction and later sending the footage to her daughter without consent.
According to court documents, Crystal Merrill claimed she was engaged in a private online interaction with Frank Harris over Facebook Messenger in 2022 when he allegedly recorded her without her knowledge.
The lawsuit alleges Harris later sent the intimate footage to her daughter through text messages and email in 2023. Merrill also claimed he threatened to upload the video to platforms including Instagram, Pornhub, Facebook and TikTok.
She stated in the lawsuit that she never consented to being recorded or to the footage being shared with anyone.
Merrill is now seeking at least $150,000 in damages along with other legal relief.
It remains unclear whether the video was ever uploaded online.
