Former Deputy President of the Senate, Ovie Omo-Agege, has rejected the result of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Delta Central, announced by the Collation Officer, Benjamin Okiemute.
The Collation Officer, Benjamin Okiemute, had declared the Senator, representing Delta Central in the National Assembly, Ede Dafinone, winner of the APC primary election in the senatorial district.
The senator Dafinone, therefore, emerged the APC senatorial candidate in the district in the buildup to the 2027 general elections.
Dafinone accepted the process to be as transparent, free and fair; but former Deputy Senate President Ovie omo-Agege, protested irregularities in the process.
The former Deputy Senate President, in a statement, rejected the victory of Dafinone; he declared himself winner of the APC primary election.
Senator Dafinone, however, called on Senator Omo-Agege to join forces and work with him ahead of the general elections.
