Dolapo Lawal has sparked debate online after stressing the importance of transparency in relationships, including sharing passwords before marriage.

In a viral message, the cleric advised singles to test their partner’s openness by asking for access to their personal accounts and devices before committing to marriage.

According to him, anyone unwilling to share such information may not be ready for a fully transparent union.

“If you want to marry somebody, ask them, ‘Can I know your password to everything that you have?’ If they say no, leave them,” he said.

Pastor Lawal argued that true marriage should be built on openness, questioning why partners would be physically vulnerable with each other while still hiding personal or financial details.

Referencing biblical teachings, he maintained that marriage reflects trust, generosity, and accountability, adding that relationships lacking transparency could struggle with deeper commitment and unity.
