A Nigerian couple migrated to the United Kingdom in search of greener pastures, hoping to build a better life together.
However, things took a disappointing turn after just a few months. The wife was handling most of the feeding expenses, while the husband contributed mainly to other bills.
Over time, the husband noticed that his wife was saving significantly more money than he was. He then suggested a 50/50 split, meaning they would share all bills equally going forward.
The wife firmly declined and insisted they maintain the existing arrangement without any changes. Not long after, the husband proposed another idea: that the wife should be savings toward completing their unfinished house back in Nigeria. The wife agreed, trusting him completely.
She diligently saved up to £20,000 and handed the money over to him so he could travel home and finish the project.
Upon arriving in Nigeria, the husband completed the house, but then did the unthinkable, he married a second wife. Shortly afterward, he called his first wife in the UK to inform her that he would no longer be joining her abroad. He had abandoned their marriage and their shared dreams.
