According to report by Daily Post on the 10th May 2026, Charles Omole, the author of From Soldier to Statesman: The Legacy of Muhammadu Buhari, has revealed that there are no fewer than five cabals allegedly influencing the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In every administration, they are key personalities who are in control of the daily activities and running of the government.
In an interview on State Affairs, a podcast hosted by Edmund Obilo, the author listed the Cabals as including the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila's group. Omole said the second Cabal is that of the son to the President's Seyi Tinubu..
Omole spoke extensively and said another influential personality in Tinubu government, is headed by the office of the first lady Remi Tinubu, whom he described as the third cabal.
Omole also describe the fourth Cabal as the young associates around the President , while the last one is headed by His Excellency Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu himself.
Omole said the Minister for Youth and few other Ministers were single-handed pick by Seyi Tinubu, that is why the Minister for Youth is always following the President's son.
The First Lady also remain one of the most influential figures in the current administration, she will always have her way in important issues in this administration .
Meanwhile, the President decides on how this administration is run and take major decisions on important issues affecting the Nation.
However, the current administration of President Tinubu will end it's first tenure this year, as they prepare for another general election schedule for 2027
